My friend is a distance runner for the University I attend. He's in my ill-informed Wellness class as well. i was talking to him about the error of our teacher, specifically about whole grains. He said that he carb loads 2 days before a big race. I know that's bad.. but what should he eat prior a long race?

(I'm trying to kick this board off lol)

Well to start.. most of glycogen gets depleted during a full nights sleep... so carb loading even the night before is fairly useless..
