EMI’s Mission

Eat. Move. Improve. (EMI) was originally created out of the necessity for a concise, easy to follow guide to proper training for practical strength, hypertrophy, weight loss and wellness.

EMI’s ultimate goal is to allow a simple-to-follow progression for trainees of all experience levels.  This allows the absolute beginner to progress up to an advanced level of fitness knowledge in a very short period of time.

Our site is focused on delivering practical advice in fitness, nutrition, and injury areas that are well researched in the area of about 4-6 pages (2000 words). If you want to guest post, then write up your article in HTML format and a short bio and send it to the support address above and we will let you know if we will post it or not. If we don’t, you still have full rights to your article and we will not use it.

Selling your Products — If you are selling a product and want to offer it to us to try that’s fine. We cannot guarantee that we will write up an article on your product because we very rarely endorse other products.

Steven Low

Steven Low, author of Overcoming Gravity: A Systematic Approach to Gymnastics and Bodyweight Strength, is a former competitive gymnast who, in recent years, has been heavily involved in the gymnastics performance troupe, Gymkana. Steven has a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland College Park, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Baltimore. He has also spent thousands of hours independently researching the scientific foundations of health, fitness and nutrition and is able to provide many insights into practical care for injuries. His training is varied and intense with a focus on gymnastics, parkour, rock climbing, and sprinting. He currently resides in his home state of Maryland.


Chris Salvato

Chris is a bodyweight fitness expert who has taught APEX Movement Parkour Classes in Colorado Springs, authored The 15-Second Handstand: A Beginner’s Guide, assisted with the writing of Overcoming Gravity and helped thousands of trainees, traceurs, travelers and vagabonds learn how to use fitness techniques and psychology to their advantage. In his free time, he likes being on rings or his hands.


KC Parsons

KC is a NCSF certified personal trainer who’s currently pursuing both an associate’s degree in Exercise Science and a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. He is currently working as a fitness facility’s sole personal trainer and nutrition consultant. His endeavor of choice is Parkour and also trains in a combined martial arts system.
